Happy new-ish year to you all! I’m weirdly excited to enter this new year where all of these changes for our industry that we have heard so much about for so long finally start coming to fruition. I am not even being sarcastic about that. Feels like we’ve been anticipating this for ages and it’s finally here.

Due to changes with the 2024-25 applications, our partners across the state are requesting our help at various FAFSA/CASFA completion events across the state and CAFAA is being looked to for expert advice. As the local experts in this field, it’s time for us to put our knowledge, training, and commitment to student success to work in our communities. I’m asking you all to find ways to help this work and spread the word. We are keeping a running list of events that CAFAA has been made aware of below. Please review the list of planned event dates and sign up for one or more in your surrounding area.

To volunteer at any of the Denver Scholarship Foundation events, please complete the following steps:

  1. Sign up!  Follow this link to SignUp.com sign up for whichever workshops work for you (contingent upon screening completion) – you can also just reply here and we’ll sign you up!
  2. Complete Volunteer Intake Forms – Click here to complete DSF Volunteer Intake Forms.
  3. Complete Background Check – An email will be sent with instructions and a link from support@activescreening.com with a subject line of “Your Denver Scholarship Foundation CO Background Check.”

If your school is planning to host any events, feel free to let us know using our online Outreach Request form on CAFAA’s website. We will add the information to this post.
