26 Mar It’s Conference Time: Viva Black Hawk
Hello CAFAA! Our 51st annual conference is taking place May 2 – 4, 2018 in beautiful Black Hawk, Colorado at the Ameristar Resort, & Spa. The Annual Conference Planning Committee has been doing some fantastic work creating an informative, productive, fun program. The sessions are still being finalized, but you can check out the tentative conference agenda.
This year, we are very pleased to provide a NASFAA Credential session on Student Eligibility. The session will take place on the final day of the conference (Friday) and will be available to all attendees. The standard NASFAA charge for this session is $99 per person, so we are very excited about offering this to conference attendees free of charge! NASFAA credentials are an increasingly popular tool recognized throughout our industry and we hope many of you are able to participate. If you haven’t registered for the conference yet, you can register here!
Keynote Speaker
We hope you’ll come hear our keynote presenter, Joe Garcia, on Wednesday afternoon. He is currently the president of Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) and formerly the Lieutenant Governor of Colorado. You can learn more about him on the WICHE President’s web page.
CAFAA Philanthropy
This year we will be raising money and providing backpacks with school supplies for our philanthropic agency, A Precious Child. Please join us in participating in the silent auction at the conference to help raise funds for this great organization. If you, or your office would like to participate by providing backpacks and school supplies, we will gladly accept them to present on your behalf. See a list of needed supplies.
