Metropolitan State University of Denver seeks applications for a Student Eligibility Manager.
This position provides oversight and leadership to the Student Eligibility group of Client services within the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships (OFAS) through coordination, management and compliance of all student eligibility and verification practices related to federal and state student aid funds. The Manager works independently to manage and develop processes or initiatives related to student eligibility and verification processes. By leveraging federal and state regulatory guidance, the Manager is responsible for compliance of all student eligibility issues and the proper management of student aid applications in preparation for financial aid packaging. In addition, the Manager ensures student aid recipients are appropriately eligible for aid and the systems and processes align with the strategic mission of the financial aid office and Enrollment Services. This position works closely with financial aid units to develop initiatives including recommending, establishing, and administering procedures and policies related to the delivery of aid to students and student eligibility. This position is a part of the management team which reviews, develops, recommends, implements and monitors operating policies and procedures within the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. All duties require excellent regulatory knowledge as well as monitoring updates for federal and state regulations, including office policies and procedures, in order to ensure efficient processing and program compliance. Prepares and/or assists in preparing various federal, state, institutional and external agency fiscal and statistical reports. This position will report directly to the Director of Client Services.
