Colorado Mesa University seeks applications for a Manager of Systems – Scholarships.
Summary: The Manager of Financial Aid Systems – Scholarships supports technology and software systems for the Financial Aid department serving as the interface between the programs, departmental and campus-wide users, and technology. This position’s primary responsibility will be the oversight of development and maintenance of processes for Financial Aid scholarships, work-study, and scholarship cohorts. The primary tasks of this position are the training of staff and students on new process developments, support communications, building reports in COGNOS, and systems management and support of all processes related to the administration and awarding of scholarships and work-study funds. This position leads the team in tracking and analyzing performance data and statistics to make continuous process improvements to automate financial aid scholarship processes. Finally, this position works with the Assistant & Associate Directors of Financial Aid Operations to determine annual project initiatives and process improvements. More details on on the job posting. Minimum Qualifications Required: • An earned Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. • 1 year experience in database and/or systems management, including development of SQL and/or reports or Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or relevant field are required. • Experience in proven process improvement. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, diplomatically and professionally. • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Banner or other enterprise resource planning system • Experience with Java Script and SQL • Experience working in higher education financial aid • Bilingual in Spanish
