Community College of Denver seeks applications for Financial Aid Processing Manager.
GENERAL SUMMARY The Financial Aid Processing Manager will be responsible for the supervision and coordination of major financial aid procedures, including verification, loan processing, and document management. This position involves awarding, budgeting, disbursement, and participation in the reconciliation of all financial aid funds, and will also include an elevated level of issue investigation and resolution with a strong commitment to data integrity. PRIMARY DUTIES The primary responsibilities of this position will include the supervision of the day to day financial aid process, including policies, procedures, forms, documents, data integrity, and completion of tasks assigned to direct reports; use of Banner to run reports on the financial aid process and to research and resolve data integrity issues, process FAFSA corrections, troubleshoot processing issues, inform Executive staff, and oversee mass communications; maintain compliance regarding all federal, state, and institutional policies; provide leadership for the Financial Aid department; collaborate with external agencies; and other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor’s degree. Experience may be substituted for the education on a year for year basis, but would not count towards the experience requirement below. Experience: Two (2) years of progressively responsible professional experience in Financial Aid. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: •Management and leadership skills. •Strong technical skills using various web-based software systems. •Excellent oral and written communication skills; attention to detail. •Ability to handle numerous complex and routine tasks simultaneously. •Strong human relations skills. •Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: One (1) year of supervising full time professional staff.
