Metropolitan State University of Denver seeks applications for a Financial Aid Operations Coordinator.
The Financial Aid (FA) Operations Coordinator works closely with the Director of Financial Aid Operations to manage and monitor FA Operations based processing related to budgeting, scheduling and packaging related to student financial aid. The coordinator manages distribution of processing lists as well as monitoring and updating the systems used to distribute these lists. The coordinator maintains the schedule for delivery of processing lists and regularly communicates processing times, maintenance, information and issues to the FA Operations Director. The coordinator operates from system generated lists to ensure the proper processing of financial aid to students and supports the operation of Student Eligibility and Funds Management. The coordinator also conducts internal quality assurance reviews at the direction of the FA Operations Director and makes suggestions to improve financial aid processing. The coordinator will be involved in the development, modification, implementation and testing of processes and data systems related to US Department of Education systems, MSU Denver’s student information system, scheduling systems, website processes, notifications, imaging and security. The coordinator also provides oversight of SAP and award processes. The coordinator serves in support of essential functions of the university, working closely with strategic enrollment management initiatives including recommending, establishing and administering procedures and policies related to student eligibility and delivery of aid to students. This position is part of the Financial Aid Operations Unit, within the Office of Financial Aid and Enrollment Management Call Center, which is responsible for financial aid operations, communications, compliance, reporting and funds management for MSU Denver. The incumbent works with the OFAS management team and all duties require monitoring and current knowledge of State and Federal regulations and office policies and procedures in order to assure accurate and efficient release of information and program compliance. The incumbent is responsible for the support and oversight of FA Operations processes, which are at the core of running an efficient and compliant financial aid office. This position reports to the Director of Financial Aid Operations.
