Metropolitan State University of Denver seeks applications for a Financial Aid Funds Manager.
This position manages the Funds Management group as part of the Operations unit within the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships (OFAS) and oversees the coordination, management and compliance of federal and state grant (including Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant and Colorado Student Grant), work-study funding and all loans. The manager works closely with supervisor towards the strategic management of funds for reporting, regular reconciliation and planning of packaging, including recommending, establishing, and administering procedures and policies related to the delivery of grant, loan and work-study aid to students. The Funds Manager provides oversight and support for the work of the unit and consistently monitors the Funds Management team output as well as quality assurance. This position is part of the OFAS management team and requires monitoring, tracking and reporting of funds as well as expert knowledge of federal and state regulations and office policies and procedures in order to ensure efficient processing and program compliance. Prepares and/or assists in preparing various federal, state, institutional and external agencies fiscal and statistical reports. This position coordinates the return of federal funds processes and manages the Loan Processor and Work-Study Coordinator positions. The incumbent is responsible for the administration of over $100 million in federal and state grant, loan and work-study aid. This position directly reports to the Director of Financial Aid Operations.
