Job Description.

The Office of Financial Aid at Colorado State University has an open Counselor, Pell & Loan Programs position. Via CSU’s land grant mission, the Office of Financial Aid is committed to the principle of inclusive excellence. In addition, a successful candidate will equitably assist students in navigating the often complex and confusing financial aid process in support of access and success. As a member of the Office of Financial Aid Operations team, and reporting to the Assistant Director for Pell and Loan Programs, the Counselor is an integral member of a unit charged with compliant, creative, and equitable administration of federal, state, institutional, and private financial aid programs for Colorado State University. The Counselor for Pell and Loan Programs has primary responsibility to ensure that programs are administered within federal, state, internal, and external regulations. The Counselor for Pell and Loan Programs is instrumental in the delivery of federal and external funds, which serves the purpose of attracting, recruiting, and retaining students to Colorado State University. This function is always performed in a way that enhances the University’s ability to effectively deliver on its mission. In accordance with Federal regulatory requirements, all finalists must be in good standing on any outstanding Federal Title IV student loans and cannot have a repayment due for a Title IV grant.
