Job Description

The Associate Director of Financial Aid Systems position assists the Director of Financial Aid Systems in developing the infrastructure of the student award process and pursues continuous improvement of Banner and other automated systems and services used by the Office of Financial Aid, Scholarships and Call Center (OFASCC). This critical position works collaboratively to deliver service and support to OFASCC staff through identifying, implementing and supporting automation needs within Banner as well as other applications and systems.  While monitoring all aspects of Financial Aid and related or contingent modules or functions in Banner, this position serves to help coordinate and maintain the reporting, programming and processing schedules pertinent to all automated systems and services. The position tests and trouble-shoots existing, updated and new systems and services as well as maintains the competency to correct or recommend technical solutions. The Associate Director assists in ensuring the integrity and quality control of data into and output from the Banner system, including file exchanges with the federal, state and third-party vendor entities. They will also collaborate with the Manager of Compliance and Training to develop and provide training for OFASCC staff of all updated and new automated systems, processes and services, and participate in the development of quality assurance assessments and support of OFASCC projects.  This position reports to the Director of Financial Aid Systems. The role may also directly supervise student, part time and/or temporary employees and will likely work closely with consultants under contract with the university. This position requires the ability to deliver projects accurately and on time, and has frequent contact with a number of campus offices and departments including: Information Technology, Bursar/Cashiering, Admissions, Registrar, Fiscal, Enrollment Management, Human Resources and Accounting Services.
