Metropolitan State University of Denver seeks applications for an Associate Director of Compliance and Funds Management.
This position manages the Compliance and Funds Management teams of the Operations Unit within the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships (OFAS). The primary duties of this position include ensuring federal and state student aid compliance in process and communications produced by the OFAS and management, oversight and reconciliation of all federal and state grant and loan funds. The Associate Director maintains expert knowledge of federal and state regulatory guidance to ensure OFAS remains vigilant in ensuring adherence to federal, state and institutional regulation, guidelines and policies. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance and maintenance of timely, effective and student-centered communications. The Associate Director also monitors the funds management and reconciliation for federal grants, state grants and all forms of loans. This position is part of the interdepartmental management team, which reviews, develops, recommends, implements and monitors operating policies and procedures within OFAS. All duties require monitoring and keeping current on federal and state regulations and office policies and procedures in order to ensure efficient processing and program compliance. Prepares and/or assists in preparing various federal, state, institutional and external agency fiscal and statistical reports. The Associate Director will also be responsible for producing and delivering training for unit specific duties as well as other compliance driven processes or activities.
The incumbent is responsible for the administration of high-level request for compliance reviews regarding financial aid and scholarships as well as communication and messaging to students. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations, and serves and part of the OFAS Management Team. The Associate Director will manage two Funds Management staff.
