Fort Lewis College seeks applications for an Assistant Director of Scholarships and Special Programs.
Job Description
The Assistant Director of Scholarships and Special Programs coordinates all components of internally and externally funded scholarship programs at Fort Lewis College. This position oversees the processing of all foundation, departmental, athletic, institutional and private scholarships. This includes managing the scholarship application software for the college and maintaining collaborative relationships with the FLC Foundation, external Scholarship agencies and departments on campus. The Assistant Director will serve as the primary point of contact with scholarship partner agencies and is responsible for timely communications, reporting and programmatic responsibilities associated with each agency. The Assistant Director will report to the Director of Financial Aid. The Financial Aid Office is a part of the Division of Enrollment Management which supports Fort Lewis College’s mission to create inclusive, experiential learning environments that foster innovation, growth and community engagement by providing exceptional service to students and families and aligning students with opportunities for success. You’ll be successful in this position if you like variety in your work as coordinating multiple scholarship programs will require attention to detail, clear communications and a good dose of organization. You’ll be flexible and adaptable in your approach to your work – especially when it comes to improving experiences for students. You are interested in making data-informed decisions and appreciate a good spreadsheet or query.
